Sustainability matters and here at Yogamatters we’ve been working hard to make your yoga favourites more eco-friendly!
Re-introducing our bestselling Thai Fisherman’s Organic Cotton Yoga Pants – now the fabric is made from 100% organically grown cotton . The packaging is compostable now too!
Our Thai fisherman’s pants are made for everyone - they’re lightweight unisex trousers with a wide design on the waist. Although originally used by fishermen in Thailand, they have become popular as casual, beach, and exercise wear, with backpackers and pregnant women as well as being very popular harem style trousers amongst yogis and comfort-lovers alike. The additional material is wrapped around the waist and tied to form a belt. If you’re tall, we suggest dropping the waist a bit for more length. One size fits all.
The product measurements are as follows:
Overall Length - 107cm
Inseam length - 57cm
Leg opening - 62cm
Waist - 126cm
Male model is wearing Gossypium Stretch T-shirt - Black in size Medium. Female model is wearing Gossypium Freedom Yoga Vest - Sapphire in size UK 10.
Care
Your Pura Yoga pieces are made to flow with you through every stretch, every breath, and every moment of your practice. To keep them looking fresh, feeling soft, and performing at their best, follow this simple care guide:
1. Wash With Intention
• Turn garments inside out before washing
• Use cold water to protect color, elasticity, and softness
• Choose a gentle detergent (no bleach, no harsh chemicals)
2. Treat Them Gently
• Use the delicate or low-spin cycle
• Wash with similar fabrics and colors
• Avoid washing with items that have zippers or Velcro, which can snag
3. Skip the Heat
• Never use hot water
• Avoid the dryer completely
• Lay flat or hang dry in the shade to maintain shape and fiber strength
4. Keep It Clean + Fresh
• Avoid fabric softeners (they block breathability and moisture-wicking)
• Steer clear of dry cleaning
• If your piece needs a refresh, air it out between wears
5. Protect the Stretch
• Do not iron directly on the fabric
• Avoid wringing or twisting to keep the fibers smooth and elastic
• Fold your garments instead of hanging heavy pieces to prevent stretching
6. Care for Mats & Accessories
Yoga Mats:
• Wipe with a mild soap + water mix
• Air dry completely before rolling up
• Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid cracking
Blocks, Straps & Props:
• Spot clean with a damp cloth
• Let them fully dry to maintain their shape and durability
